Dozens of protesters from different regions began to gather in the Plaza de los Mártires on the first anniversary of October 17, waving Lebanese flags and chanting slogans that their actions had demanded since its inception.

The gathering includes honoring various families of the martyrs and wounded, media professionals and lawyers, by distributing the Al-Arza model while broadcasting patriotic and revolutionary songs.

It also includes marches of a car that departs from the square, starting at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, that runs through Beirut and the regions, and may go to some ministries.

Car rallies

“Move for Lebanon Only” held a car rally at eight in the morning, departing from Biel to the Bank of Lebanon and then to the Ministry of the Interior, passing through various areas of Beirut and arriving at the Martyrs’ Square, in commemoration of October 17 annually and affirming the continuity of the revolution and the validity of its demands. The speeches were given to some of the participants in the presence of the screen of the new revolution “Seventeen TV”, which begins to broadcast today, coinciding with the annual one, where the participants confirmed that this move is a continuation of what began on 17 October 2019, and that they continue to face the corruption of the ruling political clique that led to the collapse of the country. .

Baalbek

A group from the Baalbek movement held a protest stand in the poet Khalil Mutran Square, on the occasion of the first anniversary of October 17, before heading to the Martyrs Square in Beirut, to participate in the central movement of all the stages .

Khaled Ali Solh stressed on behalf of Al-Harak that “it is a new beginning for the peaceful revolution that is based on modern national values, among which the rejection of sectarianism and the orientation towards citizenship to build a rule of law and institutions and fight against corruption, as well as recovering looted funds, the independence of the judiciary, leaving the mantle of the leader and ensuring public services for all citizens. From Tripoli to Beirut

Also, several buses departed from Tripoli, Akkar and Denniyeh, taking two pilgrimages to participate in the movements that Beirut will witness on the occasion of the anniversary of the October 17 revolution.
