On 10-10-2020, as a result of the field monitoring, investigations and investigations carried out by the Bekaa Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, and after a robbery occurred in the town of Wardaniyeh – Chouf, for two people in an all-terrain vehicle, a “Chevrolet – Trailblazer”, so they fled After the operation was carried out, towards the Bekaa region. A force ambushed them from the aforementioned detachment at the “Al-Tuwayti” – Zahle checkpoint, and managed to arrest them with the support of checkpoint personnel, namely:

– h. P. (Born 1986, Lebanese).

With their interrogations, they confessed what was attributed to them, and that the first detainee formed – together with others (work is being done to arrest them) – an armed gang, and under the pretext of exchanging foreign currency at low prices they were attracting citizens to then strip them of their money. And that they had previously carried out two looting operations by force of arms in the town of Taalabaya – Bekaa, and the sums stolen in both operations amounted to about 61 million Lebanese pounds.

The legal requirement was applied to the detainees, who deposited the corresponding piece, in order to continue investigating, based on the reference of the competent court.
