Akis speaks of a “ray of hope”.

Representative George Akis wrote on his Twitter account, writing: “Despite the blackness that surrounds us, the ray of hope that Judge Carla Shawah has planned today with the writing of her knowledge and the spark of her conscience.”

He added: “The judiciary is fine despite everything in it. Therefore, Lebanon is fine despite everything. Honors have been raised for you today.”

He concluded: “All of Lebanon is proud of you and of judges like you.”
