Despite working for more than 12 years with LBCI, Remy Derbas only managed to make his name known through his coverage of the protests that broke out last October. The participation of the reporter and newsletter presenter had successful coverage in the heart of the Lebanese street traveling between regions, stopping in the movement. Remy maintained objectivity by conveying the image of reality away from incitement. Perhaps the most prominent of his coverage is what he did in the report in the Khandaq al-Ghamiq area, where he reported the real picture. After these years working at LBCI, Derbas is preparing for a new media experience after his resignation from the station run by Pierre El Daher. In contact with “Al-Akhbar”, the introduction confirms the news left by the channel, saying “Yes, I submitted my resignation to the LBCI, I joined their team in 2008, and I am preparing for a second media experience.” The reporter refuses to reveal the channel with which she signed the employment contract, saying only that “the station is Lebanese because I cannot leave my country for my children.” In the same bank, sources reveal to “Al-Akhbar” that Derbas has signed a contract with the channel “Al-Jadid”, and will soon be looking on its screen. Notably, Dirbas worked in 2005 for “Lebanon TV” for three years before moving to LBCI.
