Professor Jacques Mekhbat warned about the dangerous epidemiological stage that Lebanon has reached, considering that the Lebanese scenario is the catastrophic model that surpassed the Italian model, especially given the lack of preparation of the hospital sector to face the Corona virus.

Mkhbat, and in an interview with “Voice of All Lebanon”, indicated that the process of training hospital workers and equipping medical personnel was supposed to take place during the first shutdown of the country with the beginning of the spread of the virus , and this did not happen if no mechanism was put in place to help private hospitals, especially in light of the crisis. Current economy.

Regarding the effectiveness of the closure, Makhbat pointed out that its results are still limited, and this is what studies in several countries around the world have shown because the most important thing continues to be to adhere to preventive measures, indicating that the closure should be within two months to relieve pressure on the hospital sector.

In response to a question about the possibility of transmission of the Coronavirus infection through the air, Makhbat clarified that this is possible in closed rooms, not outdoors.
