The Lebanese people are surprised by these large and simultaneous fires, and doubts have changed about the possibility that these fires were man-made.

The Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper indicated that doubts about the causes of the fires that broke out in Lebanon and destroyed large areas of forests, the largest of which were in the southern region, increase, so the weights indicate that they are artificial, as announced by Deputy Hussein Jishi.

For his part, the parliamentarian Hajj Hussein Jishi, during his inspection of the places affected by the fires in the southern town of Qana, spoke about “data from eyewitnesses that indicate that the fire broke out around 5:30 in the morning , and this indicates that this fire could have been invented pending the result of the investigations. . And he said that if the fire was lit, “this comes under pressure from our people and works to harm them and harm them and their crops, especially in the olive trees whose harvest season began these days, and it is a season of which many They depend on our peoples and earn their living from the harvest. ” The fires, which continued for more than 72 hours in the south, included several cities including Yumr, Zawtar, Al-Kfour, Zabdine, Nabatiyeh, Wadi Al-Hajeer, Kafrman, Habboush, Shukin, Nabatiyeh Al-Fawqa and Al-Duwair. .

The situation in the north was no different, as the fires also ravaged vast areas, the devastating effects of which were revealed in Akkar, according to the Middle East, where the largest and most damaging of them was the fire that ravaged four times as many forests outside of the towns of Safina al-Qaytaa – Baz – Jadidat al-Qaytaa – Ayyun al-Samak, which transformed thousands of forest trees. To the ashes, and for that reason, the ecosystem of this forest, which contains thousands of perennial pines, rich vegetation cover and habitats for many types of birds and wild animals that were exterminated or abandoned, was finished, according to the National Information Agency. Likewise, the fire that broke out in the triangle of the pine forest in the outlying towns of Ain Yaqoub – Ayat – and Shqadouf in the Jouma region of Akkar, destroyed a large area of this forest containing evergreen pines.

And the third destructive fire too, as the newspaper said, occurred along the Lebanese bank of the great river course, starting from the outlying areas of the city of Noura to Khirbet al-Rumman, passing through the outlying towns of Dosa. , al-Kawashiyah, al-Dababiyya, Shekhalar and Ramah. Broad herbaceous.

The agency pointed out that had it not been for the intervention of the army helicopters and their effective contribution to extinguishing the fire, the fires would have occurred until yesterday, and the losses would have doubled, in addition to the efforts made by the personnel of civil defense and volunteers and facing them with fire with the great support of the people who stood up to defend their properties and their seasons that were devastated by the fires. Especially the olive season.
