And Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced the agreement on the timing of the fighting, after talks that lasted for more than 10 hours in the Russian capital between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Lavrov said after the marathon talks that the ceasefire “will allow the two sides to exchange prisoners and corpses, killed in the fighting, through the International Committee of the Red Cross.”
The renewed military clashes between Armenia and Azerbaijan on September 27, in the most violent round of the 30-year conflict, in which the two sides exchanged accusations of fueling the conflict.
