A large fire broke out in the Tariq al-Jadida area of ​​the Lebanese capital Beirut on Friday after a diesel tank exploded in the area.

The Lebanese channel “Al-Jadid” confirmed that fire brigade vehicles were rushing to the scene of the accident to begin to extinguish the fire.

In addition, today there has been a great fire in forests, fruit trees and olive groves in the south and north of Lebanon.

The fires that broke out on the outskirts of the border town of Sheiklar very quickly spread to the olive groves in the adjacent lands in the outlying areas of the cities of Ramah and Khirbet al-Rumman, according to the Lebanese website Al-Nahar.

And the villages in the Tire district also witnessed massive fires, as the fire approached the houses. On the outskirts of the cities of Qana and Deir Qanat Ras al-Ain, a large fire broke out and destroyed large areas of dry grass and fruit trees. Civil defense teams worked with army helicopters to extinguish them, while suffocation cases were recorded for several paramedics and several residents of residential buildings near the scene of the fire were evacuated.
