The Disaster Management Unit of the Union of Municipalities of the District of Tire stated in a statement that, according to the report of the Medical Director, Dr. Wissam Ghazal, 28 confirmed and laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases were registered today, and all the injuries were for close contact residents, including 4 injuries from the Palestinian community and one from the Iraqi community.

Today, two deaths were recorded by two elderly patients suffering from chronic diseases.

The casualties were distributed today as follows: Tire 4, North Tower 4, Errachidia 3, Joya 3

Al-Bazuriya 3, Al-Qulaileh 2, Qana 1, Ma’roub 1, Ayn Baal 1, Tirfilsia 1, Mahrouneh 1, Al-Hosh 1, Derganon – Ras al-Ain 1, Battle 1 and Siddiqin 1.

Consequently, the number of wounded in the district increased to 1,123 wounded.

They were distributed as follows: 203 imported cases (3 deaths) 92 local cases (917 contacts), including 149 cases of Palestinian citizens, 33 cases of Syrian dependency and 3 Iraqi cases

113 cases of international emergency forces (UNIFIL)

(16 local deaths)

410 of them made a full recovery.

The statement added: “The Disaster Management Unit of the Union of Municipalities of the District of Tire is the only authority authorized to issue data on reality and health data related to the Coronavirus, the number of patients, recovered and suspected cases, according to a report from the Medical Director, and therefore we hope that all parents will not be dragged into any news that is not broadcast. In this unit, and due to the continuous increase in the number of injured, according to reports from the Ministry of Public Health, we advise all residents of the Tire district to continue to fully comply with the non-mixing and to apply all the instructions issued by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Public Health to avoid possible injuries or damages.
