Sudden failure of Slack services

Users of the popular Slack for social media and chat were shocked by the app’s performance issues, causing the app to slow down and delay sending messages and calls, according to Al-Ain News.

Downdetector.com, for monitoring application problems, received more than 1,700 complaints of slow or completely stopped service, in addition to the appearance of new complaints that were classified among the general application problems.

The number of Slack users has recently increased in light of general isolation measures imposed by governments to limit the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid-19).

Slack is an application that provides a communication function between subscribers (written – voice), by launching a group that accepts thousands of subscribers and provides some functions that make it easier for members to get the most out of their digital group, and also provides communication of high-quality voice and other functions.

The company said in a statement that some users may not be able to connect to the service, while others still face “general performance problems.”

He added: “We are currently working on fixing the problems, without revealing the cause of the problems or the timeframe to complete the fix and return the application to normal.”

It should be noted that there are more than 10 million users of the “Slack” application through the Play Store of the Android operating system, and there are more than 87 thousand comments on the quality of the service provided.
