Boycott campaign to border demarcation: No to negotiations with the enemy

The Campaign to Boycott Israel’s Supporters in Lebanon recently issued a statement on the framework agreement to demarcate the land and sea borders to the south, stating:

On October 1, 2020, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament announced that a “framework agreement” had been reached to demarcate Lebanon’s southern, land and sea borders, adding that the Lebanese army would follow up on the “indirect negotiations. “with the Israeli side under the auspices of the President of the Lebanese Republic and any future government. With US mediation, with the meetings to be held at the United Nations headquarters in Naqoura. The framework agreement is based on “the positive experience of the tripartite mechanism that has existed since the understandings of April 1996” and Security Council resolution 1701.
After reviewing the text of the framework agreement, the campaign to boycott supporters of “Israel” in Lebanon confirms the following:
First: The refusal to recognize the borders of the Zionist entity, whether by land, sea or air. This entity must be completely destroyed, through armed resistance and popular boycott, and with all forms of national, national and international struggle, so that Palestine and all the occupied Arab territories return to their people.
Second: No Lebanese negotiation with the enemy should take place, either directly or indirectly, specifically on the issue of demarcation of borders with an entity that has occupied the land of Palestine since 1948, especially as this negotiation will be conducted to support the current restless Arab normalization process, which is basically carried out to satisfy President Trump. On the eve of the American elections. Instead of “negotiating” with the enemy (in the United Nations “tent”), Lebanese photographs, maps and documents (proving Lebanon’s right to explore for oil and gas) can be presented to a party that do not be biased towards this enemy.
Third: this party, as it is now, cannot be the United States, the sponsor of Israeli terrorism and its political, financial and military supporter for decades. It is underestimating the minds of the Lebanese and the Arabs to portray the opposite of that, especially with the US sanctions imposed on Lebanon and non-Arab countries in favor of “Israel.”
Fourth: The Lebanese side must assure the Lebanese people that any step they take to preserve their rights over their oil and gas will not involve the slightest subsequent national or national concession. In particular, it must assure the Lebanese people that they will not be lured by any further steps on the road to normalization or “peace”. There is no normalization or peace with the Israeli enemy, no recognition of its “legitimacy” no matter how late.
Fifth: official Lebanon must openly declare its belief in the cause of liberating all of Palestine, not in a state with only 22%, according to the little Arab initiative that is often praised.
Sixth: The boycott campaign fears that the American “mediator” will exploit the Lebanese economic collapse to bring Lebanon to its knees and satisfy it with a “carrot” of its gas or oil, especially since David Schenker (US Under Secretary of State) He said that “negotiating between Lebanon and Israel is a positive step” and that an agreement The framework “will help Lebanon, which is going through an economic crisis.”
Seventh: The boycott campaign regrets that the Lebanese scene, especially the media, is almost devoid of warnings about the “hoaxes” of economic prosperity after the framework agreement. The campaign recalls the deterioration of conditions for our people in Egypt, Jordan and Palestine after the signing of the shame accords at Camp David, Wadi Araba and Oslo, in the interests of a small class of beneficiaries, opportunists and “fat cats” . In light of the existence of a corrupt class ruling Lebanon, the “rent” of the deal must be returned to their own interests. This is what drives the boycott campaign to emphasize, once again, the interdependence of the national liberation process and the internal democratic national change process.
