Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb said in a tweet on his Twitter account on Sunday that Pope Francis’s message “We are all brothers” reveals “a global reality that lives deficient in its positions and decisions.” .

The Sheikh of Al-Azhar declared: “The message of my brother Pope Francis – we are all brothers – comes as an extension of the document on human brotherhood, revealing a global reality in which their positions and decisions are flawed, and the weak and marginalized pay the tax for that.

He continued: “The message (of the Pope) is addressed to people of good will and a living conscience, and restores the conscience of humanity.”

The Vatican Pope signed the new papal message in Assisi, central Italy, on Saturday as an extension of the “Document of Human Fraternity” signed by the Sheikh of Al-Azhar and Pope Francis in the Emirates capital, Abu Dhabi, in early February 2019.

In his message, Pope Francis called to return “to promote goodness for ourselves and for the good of all humanity”, stressing that “we must have the courage to give a voice to those who are discriminated against because of their disability … it has existed for everyone, because we are all human beings. We are born on this earth with the same dignity ”.

He continued: “Equality is not achieved by saying that all human beings are simply equal, but is the result of the conscious and educational development of the brotherhood.”

He added: “How much our human family needs to learn to live together in harmony and peace without the need for all of us to be the same.”
