The medical team said, during a public press conference on Trump’s health, that the president: “twice suffered from a lack of oxygen in his blood during his illness.”

And the doctors continued: President Donald Trump’s health condition “continues to improve” and he does not suffer from high temperatures or shortness of breath.

Dr. Sean Conley of Walter Reed Military Hospital said the president’s oxygen level had decreased twice since the onset of symptoms, but had improved and he no longer had a fever, explaining that he was being treated with a steroid.

Trump is being treated with remdesivir, which prevents the virus from multiplying, in addition to dexamethasone, which is a corticosteroid drug used to treat severe forms of the virus, according to Dr. Conley.

“Today, Trump is comfortable and energetic,” Dr. Brian Garibaldi said during the press conference. “Our goal for today is to get him to eat and drink while keeping him out of bed as much as possible to keep him moving and feeling good.”

Donald Trump announced late Thursday, Friday, that he was infected with the Corona virus and interrupted his campaign.

Trump said in a video posted to Twitter late Saturday night that he was feeling “much better,” promising to “return soon,” while pointing out that the next few days are the “real test” for him.
