Commitment to the closure decision in several Lebanese cities
Eight villages in eastern Sidon started this morning, the implementation of the closure decision that included them, namely Al-Baramiya, Majdelyoun, Ain El-Delb, Abra, Al-Hilaliyah, Al-Qarya, Al-Miyyah, Miya and Kfargarh, and in the Zahrani area two cities, Al-Babiliya and Al-Ghassaniyya.
The “National News Agency” reported that the engagement rate reached around 90%. In Abra, movement appeared light in the morning, with citizens adhering to procedures in terms of not walking.
In Ain El-Delb, the mayor of the municipality, Danny Jabbour, considered that “the town was placed on the map of the affected villages, although there are only two HIV infections, one case four days ago and the other appeared yesterday, and we had 3 previous cases of similar recovery, and this is it. ” He remarked that “all food stores will operate under the supervision of municipal police and they will monitor them to ensure the needs of citizens through home delivery.” He expected that “the Interior Minister, Brigadier General Mohamed Fahmy, will reconsider this decision on Monday.”
On the other hand, the mayor of Al-Baramia, George Saad, stated that “all measures have been taken to implement the decision, although only two cases were registered in the town.
Regarding the mayor of Kfargarh Maroun Shalhoub, he stated: “Decisions have been compromised since the beginning of Corona, but today’s closure decision has left us in a state of frustration and confusion, as there are only 6 cases in the locality, most of whom have made good on the recovery ”.
