Technical experts recently warned about a spyware program discovered that could penetrate Android phones and access a number of important data.

The company, “ESET”, specialized in cybersecurity, claimed that spyware can record calls and steal numbers and data, as well as read messages.

This spyware, known as “Android / SpyC23.A”, communicates to the target phones through rogue applications.

According to the British newspaper “Mirror”, these applications deceive users by disguising themselves as known applications to successfully penetrate the devices.

A researcher for the Slovak company, Lucas Stefanko, said that experts had discovered a fake app store that spread the malicious program.

And the expert claimed that this program does worrying things when it succeeds in penetration, because it can take pictures, record audio, delete files and possibly take screenshots.

To avoid these risks, experts advise limiting the download of applications from the official Google store, which is the “Play Store”.

Stefanco added that turning to this official and reliable store is capable of protecting the user from becoming a victim of piracy.

He urged smartphone users to take precautions and carefully examine the app’s source and other usage details.
