It is strange that the Palestinian Authority condemns the official normalization of the Gulf with Israel, even though this event is a natural result of the policy of the Palestinian Authority over the years. The Palestinian leadership insisted on this policy, even though it did not keep a single paragraph of agreements and promises, but instead produced strategic losses for the cause: continued settlement activity, theft of Palestinian land and population displacement, the advent of the United States (which supposed to be the mediator in the final status negotiations and a member of the Quartet)!) On the declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of the occupation state, the transfer of the US embassy to Jerusalem, the penetration of the “normalization unannounced “in the Arab countries politically, economically and in the media (the unannounced normalization is nothing more than an exercise in official normalization), an escalation – in fact extremism – the absolute US support for Israel on Strategic issues: borders, settlements , return of refugees, sovereignty. None of these aforementioned events, which signify both the United States’ and Israel’s contempt for the “Oslo Accord”, alone are sufficient for the PLO to withdraw from this agreement and return to national unity on the basis of the Liberation.

However, not all of them stopped forcing the Palestinian leaders to do so, and these leaders continued to insist, suspicious insistence, on choosing the position of weakness and imposing it on their people, and even cooperating with the occupation in the persecution and arrest of the combatants of the resistance … and remained attached to the US Zionist administration, as an “honest” mediator. Between her and Israel! If we count, together with this servility of the Palestinian leadership, the madness of the Arab regimes in the midst of revolutions, coups d’état and internal conspiracies for the seat of power, and their willingness – therefore – to make all the necessary concessions to obtain an American guarantee of permanence in power, we will understand that the recent Arab struggle for normalization with Israel is a foregone conclusion.

The Palestinian cause was strong with the armed struggle and the intifada, and it was weakened when its leadership was left defenseless on the battlefield.

In the recent Gulf crossings, it is not only the Palestinian situation that affected the catastrophe, but also the situation of the Arabs in general and the official Arab system in particular. This is because the commitment of any Arab country to the Palestinian right, a real commitment without a voice, was for a long time a criterion for political independence and sovereignty. The role that the Arab regime played, for decades, in the weakening of the Palestinian cause, is well known and public … As for the role that Palestinian policies played in the weakening of the Arab people’s power, it remains silent: but It is the interactive relationship between these two roles that shaped this end result that Arabs are currently experiencing. The achievements of the Palestinian struggle, and its moments of strength, since the legitimation of colonialism in Palestine (1948), and throughout the second half of the 20th century, have always been a source of inspiration and support for all popular movements in the Arab countries, so hope took hold and included more people in the cause of change. The progress of the Palestinian cause, and even its smallest victories, gave the masses of all our countries a tangible affirmation and a vivid example of the principles of freedom, justice and revolution against injustice: not only the free people of our countries. Arabs supported the Palestinian cause, but Palestine itself supported the cause of freedom in all Arab countries. . The issue of the Palestinian right has great merit on the political consciousness of the peoples of our region, and was an example inspired by the free peoples of all continents, which is what made many foreign militants join the struggle of Palestinian armed organizations. However, this inspiring role was betrayed by the Palestinian institution that was entrusted to it, when it began to deviate from the moral essence of the question, and thus from the moral essence of the final solution formula, and drown in the diseases of the Arab system and its own ills, whether you called it pragmatic, realistic, political, or otherwise. that. The fall of the Palestinian establishment to this depth is one of the strongest factors for the revolutionary spirituality of the current Arab generations, compared to the generations that were shaking the streets of Arab cities in support of Palestine, and their children left everything. to join the armed struggle for liberation.
The practical march of the Palestinian cause is more informative than any theorization: this march simply says: that the Palestinian cause was strong at all times when it was based on strong action on the ground, be it by armed struggle or popular civil struggle.
