The leaders blamed “criminal gangs and outlaw groups” for the incident, stating that Al-Kazemi ordered an immediate investigation of the accident and the prosecution of the perpetrators “regardless of their affiliations and affiliations”, so that they receive the penalties. more severe.

Al-Kazemi emphasized, according to the leadership, the need for the security services to intensify their intelligence efforts to reduce these crimes.

Activists posted photos of the dead and wounded, including women and children, and showed those seriously injured as a result of the missile hit.

An Iraqi security source said on Monday that three people were killed and two others injured when a missile struck a house near the Baghdad airport, in an operation for which Iranian militias are believed to be responsible.

Iranian-affiliated armed groups have been targeting the vicinity of the Baghdad airport, the airport building, the Green Zone and the residential areas surrounding the two sites.

Baghdad’s Green Zone, which includes embassies of countries and important government institutions, is exposed to almost daily attacks with Katyusha rockets, which sometimes caused material losses in buildings and among the civilian population.

And on Sunday, Iraqi al-Nujaba militia official Akram al-Kaabi said “precise weapons have entered service”, following statements by his militia indicating that his armed groups “will not stop their operations.”
