4 people arrested for selling fake car sunscreen – Al-Manar TV website – Lebanon

“On 9/8/2020, a citizen claimed that he obtained from a person a license to apply sunscreen to his cars, in the amount of / $ 1000 /, and then it became clear to him that it was false.

Through the follow-up and investigations carried out by the Bekaa Investigation Detachment in the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, it was possible to arrest / 4 / people related to the issue, for which they were attracted from several Lebanese regions and arrested, and they are:

1- E. NORTH. (Born 1974, Lebanese)
2- kh. H. (Born 1991, Lebanese)

4- p. GRAM. (Born 1994, Lebanese)

During the interrogation with them, the first person, who was also caught in possession of a forged license, admitted that he had sold the license to the plaintiff for the aforementioned amount, and that he obtained it from the second detainee (KH) for an amount of $ 700, and the second detainee admitted that he, in turn, obtained the licenses of the third detainee (MK), who was also seized in possession of a forged license, and claimed that he obtained the licenses of the fourth detainee (GS) and another person hidden, in exchange for money, and in turn sold them, and denied knowing that the licenses were false. .

The detainees were referred – on an ongoing basis – to the Baabda Judicial Detachment and to the Office for the Fight against Terrorism and Major Crimes of the Judicial Police Unit, to further their investigation, based on the reference of the competent Judicial Power, and is being working to stop the rest of those involved. Likewise, (GH), (MH) and (SA), mentioned in a separate report, were detained on suspicion of arms trafficking.

Therefore, the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces and Bodies warns citizens not to be victims of these gangs, and reminds them that sun protection licenses are issued exclusively by the Ministry of the Interior and Municipalities, if they are approved, without any type of economic allocation.
