Jumblatt believed that the blockade on the government’s horizon “comes at the cost of a dignified life for the Lebanese, and also at the cost of the possibility of putting the French initiative on the right track, which could pave the way for negotiations with the Lebanese. The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, especially the implementation of reforms, starting with the electricity sectors and industry. ” The drug, the latter, can be repaired and corrected if we adopt alternative (generic) drugs, instead of surrendering to the cartels of pharmaceutical manufacturers that benefit from the support given to this sector.
Underlining that the delay in the formation of the government is the result of external calculations, Jumblatt expressed his dissatisfaction that this is happening “at a time when the economic and social situation in Lebanon no longer tolerates such maneuvers.”
Jumblatt said he “supports sovereign portfolios being open to all sects.” He stressed that he is not afraid that the Sunni-Shiite confrontation, especially around the Finance Ministry, will hide a change in the system. He added: “This dispute may lead to nothing in this regard. But in the absence of a clear vision of a civil state, and at a time when the popular protest movement suddenly disappeared, anything is possible in Lebanon.”
At the Salih level, “Hezbollah” said: “The issue of Hezbollah’s weapons cannot be resolved overnight, and this requires favorable international conditions. Iran has to agree.”
