Israel signed an agreement with Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates at the White House on September 15 to normalize relations with these two Gulf states.
The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain were the first two Gulf states to announce the normalization of relations with Israel, and were preceded by Egypt (1979) and Jordan (1994) in the Arab world.
Hamas, Fatah and Hamas agreed on Thursday to hold Palestinian legislative and presidential elections within six months, the first in nearly 15 years, in the context of unifying their position on the normalization of relations between Israel and the Arab countries.
