The 90th scientist said in his first video recording that he posted to his new account on the platform: “Hello! I am amazed. I appeared on television and radio 60 years ago, but this is my first appearance on Instagram. ”
He added: “I am embarking on this new path, which constitutes a new form of communication for me, because the world is in danger as you all know”, speaking of “burning continents, melting glaciers and fish disappearing from our oceans.”
The naturalist, who recently released a new documentary on Netflix titled A Life on Our Planet, warns humanity of the dangers arising from the great disappearance of the races, and hopes to reach a wider audience using the Instagram platform, which is very popular, especially among young people.
“Saving our planet has become a communication challenge,” Attenborough wrote in his post. And he continued in the video: “During the next few weeks I will record messages to explain the problems we face and what we can do to solve them.”
