The statement came without a direct reference to normalization, saying the talks discussed a number of regional issues, including the future of Arab-Israeli peace, leading to stability in the region and preserving the right of the Palestinian people to establish their state in accordance with the vision of the two-state solution, and the role that Sudan is expected to play in achieving realization. The council added that the results achieved will be presented to the transitional government bodies to discuss them and reach a common vision around them that achieves the interests and aspirations of the Sudanese people.

These meetings come when the permanent US ambassador to the United Nations, Kelly Craft, announced that another Arab country would sign a normalization agreement with Israel in the next two days.

He added in statements to the Saudi channel “Al Arabiya” that the United States “plans to join with more Arab countries, which we will announce soon,” and said that “another Arab country will sign an agreement within a day or two, and all countries will do the same”.

Kraft added that the Americans hope that Saudi Arabia will sign a normalization agreement with Israel. “We will certainly appreciate the fact that Saudi Arabia is next, but the important thing is that we focus on the agreements and do not allow the Iranian regime to exploit the good intentions of Bahrain, the Emirates or Israel,” he added.

Also in the context of normalization, the US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman said the US still adheres to the principle of Israeli military supremacy, noting that US law provides for it.

The Israeli newspaper “Maariv” said Friedman said in a speech to be broadcast at the annual conference of the Israeli newspaper “Jerusalem Post” that the United Arab Emirates will not receive the “F-35” fighters for seven years. He stressed that the United Arab Emirates has been trying for six to seven years to obtain F-35 fighters, and that the delivery issue may take between six and seven years.
