Aoun’s words came during the speech he gave on behalf of Lebanon at the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, in accordance with the procedures of the health protocol followed by the international organization, which it required that presidents’ speeches be conducted through “video” technology.

In his speech, Aoun assured that “all Lebanon wants to know the truth of the explosion and achieve justice”, highlighting that “we are still waiting for the information of the international teams that have carried out the necessary investigations on the mystery of the ship as well as on the images satellite to clear the ambiguity in this part of the investigation that will pour out its conclusions in The Judicial Council in the context of the jurisdiction of Lebanese sovereignty “.

Aoun referred to “the issue of displaced Syrians, that Lebanon faces its crisis based on the principle of humanitarian duty and respect for international law, especially the principle of non-refoulement”, and called for “intensifying efforts for a safe return and dignified and not link it to the political solution in Syria. “

The President of the Lebanese Republic reiterated Lebanon’s commitment to Resolution 1701 in all its components, and its demand from the international community to force Israel to comply with all its obligations in this regard and to stop its violations of Lebanese sovereignty.

He also stated that “Lebanon adheres to its full rights to its waters and natural oil and gas resources, and to all its maritime borders in accordance with international law.”

He continued: “Lebanon looks forward to the role of the United Nations and friendly countries to consolidate its rights, specifically the mediation of the United States of America to carry out the necessary negotiations to finally demarcate the maritime borders in accordance with the law. international, so as to preserve Lebanon’s sovereignty and rights over its wealth. “

Aoun emphasized that the “Lebanese people” of all sects adhere to preserve a great Lebanon, united, without any division or division. “
