A Bahraini government spokesman said Israeli officials visited the country on Wednesday to discuss areas of cooperation between the two countries, according to the Bahrain News Agency.

The first direct and public commercial flight between Israel and Bahrain landed in the Gulf kingdom on Wednesday, just a week after an agreement was signed declaring support for peace with Israel.

According to the Associated Press, flight data showed that an Airbus A-320, belonging to Israir Airlines, landed at Bahrain International Airport after a flight that lasted about three hours from Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv.

The Bahraini spokesman did not provide further details, while Israel’s Foreign Ministry declined to comment on the trip.

Bahrain’s official news agency quoted a responsible source as saying: “A session of talks was held in Manama today with an official Israeli delegation, during which they discussed areas of cooperation in the framework of the declaration of support for peace between the two countries. “

The trip was carried out without ceremony, unlike the first trip of the company “El” from Israel to the United Arab Emirates in late August, which transported US and Israeli officials, including Jared, an adviser to US President Donald Trump.
