He referred to the Iranian regime that attacked Saudi oil facilities last year, emphasizing that the Kingdom, based on its position in the Islamic world, has a special and historical responsibility to protect its tolerant Islamic faith from attempts to distort terrorist organizations. and extremist groups.
The Saudi monarch affirmed that the Iranian regime “continues, through its tools, to target the Kingdom with ballistic missiles, which exceeded 300 missiles and more than 400 unmanned aircraft, in flagrant violation of Security Council Resolutions 2216 and 2231. “.
On the Yemeni issue, the Saudi monarch stated that the Kingdom will not be complacent in the defense of its national security and will not abandon the brother Yemeni people until they regain their full sovereignty and independence from Iranian hegemony, saying: “We continue to support the efforts of the UN envoy to Yemen. “
He indicated that the Iranian-backed Houthi militia threatens the security of international maritime navigation and that the Houthi militia continues to attack civilians in Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi monarch stressed the Kingdom’s support for all efforts aimed at advancing the Arab peace process and its support for the efforts made by the current US administration to bring peace to the Middle East by seating the Palestinian and Israeli sides in the negotiating table to reach a fair and comprehensive agreement, affirming support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with its capital.
