Former Minister Ashraf Rifi said in a tweet on his Twitter account that “Hezbollah’s intransigence is being countered by adhering to the constitution, not with good intentions.”

He added: “He will take any concession, put it in his pocket and move on to other demands. A government will not be formed until Iran orders it.”

He said: “Beware of free concessions, beware of testing the installer.”

And he stressed that “Lebanon can no longer support additional concessions”, considering that “the country that suits us is based on equality and balance.”

Rifi’s tweet comes as a comment to a statement issued by Prime Minister Saad Hariri, in which he stressed that “Lebanon runs the risk of losing its last brakes due to its collapse, with what that means the outbreak of political chaos , economic, life and security with the crazy rise in the dollar exchange rate, and with it inflation. And the prices of bread and fuel and the beginning of the loss of medicines from the market in conjunction with a dangerous development in the number of cases of the Corona pandemic, I decided to help President Adib find a way out by appointing a minister of finances independent of the Shiite community, whom he, like other ministers, would elect on the basis of competence, integrity, and lack of party affiliation. This decision does not imply in any way the recognition of the exclusivity of the Ministry of Finance over the Shiite sect or any sect. “
