As part of the follow-up being carried out by the Information Division of the Internal Security Forces to persecute counterfeiting gangs, promote counterfeiting of currency and arrest their members, in all Lebanese lands.
As a result of the availability of confirmed information regarding the gang members’ attempt to promote large amounts of counterfeit currency in the Lebanese market, this division was able, through the extensive investigations and investigations it carried out, to determine the identities of three members of the gang. :

Warrants were immediately issued and the specialized divisions of the Information Division were tasked with locating them, working to arrest them, and seizing the counterfeit money before beginning to promote them.
On 9/14-2020, and as a result of the follow-up, the Division patrols were able to detect the caller (ML) in the city of Aley, where they ambushed her, leading to her arrest, and confiscated counterfeit banknotes in her possession. $ 197,000 dollars.
Simultaneously, (TF) was arrested in the same area.
During interrogation, they confessed that they had used drugs, that they belonged to a gang to promote counterfeit currency, and that they were in the process of pumping amounts of the seized currency in their possession, in conjunction with (SJ), whose home in Aramoun was raided and it turned out that it was hidden from view. An RPG was found in the house.
Likewise, the second detainee admitted his involvement in the arms trade and the promotion of counterfeit checks, in association with: (CK, born 1962, Lebanese).
On 9/16 2020, the Division managed to arrest the latter in the town of Ras al-Nabaa-Beirut.
A search of his home revealed computers used in counterfeiting operations, a pistol, 3 combs, and 344 G. of kif hashish material.
During his interrogation, he confessed to what was attributed to him for falsifying checks and certificates and for drug use.
The legal requirements were taken against him, they were deposited with the competent authority, based on the judicial indication, and work is being done to arrest the rest of those involved.
