The Secretariat of the Maronite Maronite Order issued the following statement: “In recent days, social networks have transmitted a group of photographs of the man of God, Father Anthony Tarabay, the Maronite Maronite monk, with words attributed to him, in those that there are some kind of ‘prophecies’ about Lebanon and that contain a dangerous inflammatory panorama.

He added: “It is important that the monastic general presidency confirm that these images and the like are not emitted by monasticism at all, and the words in which they are totally incorrect, rather constitute immediate slander, incitement and politicization to sow confusion in souls of the believers, and therefore all who are behind these misleading claims will bear Responsibility for what he issued, while the Order reserves the right to prosecute him legally.

In its statement, the Order asked, “not to share these misleading images, and asks all who love Father Anthony Tarabay and those who receive these images to pray to God for the proclamation of his holiness, and a warm plea to our Lord for Lebanon to recover from its ordeal with the intercession of the Virgin Mary and all the saints of Lebanon, along with Emphasizing that monasticism is, spiritually, morally and socially, on the side of every authentic Lebanese who wants well-being, sovereignty and prosperity of the country.
