The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued a statement in which it indicated that “recently there have been several robberies from inside cars, after unknown persons broke their windows, especially in the provinces of Beirut and Mount Lebanon. As a result, the Information Division intensified The Internal Security Forces take measures in the places where these operations are carried out in preparation for the arrest of the perpetrators. “

The statement noted that “as a result of the extensive investigations and investigations carried out by the specialized units of the division, the identity of the two perpetrators was identified: AR (born in 1971, Lebanese) and BM (born in 1968, Lebanese). It also turned out that they had a history of criminal theft from inside vehicles, and had previously been arrested several times for the same crime.

He added: “On 9/11/2020, and after a careful monitoring and control process, a special force affiliated with the division was able to simultaneously arrest them in the suburban area, and confiscated falsified official documents in their possession. And by carrying out more than 15 robbery operations in the regions: Kfardebian, Jounieh, Mansouriya, Ashrafieh, Ramlet Al-Bayda, Mina Al-Hosn, Al-Hamra and Tire, the first detainee also admitted to using drugs.

The legal requirement was met against them, and they were deposited together with the assets seized by the competent authority, prior reference from the Judicial Power.
