He drowned her in gasoline and burned her, handcuffed, a crime that shakes the heart of the suburb!

In a gruesome crime, Citizen AS burned a fourteen-year-old girl in an abandoned apartment in Burj Al-Barajneh. Following the incident, the Army Command announced that its intelligence services had detained the citizen (SA) in the Bir al-Abd area on the 15th of this month. As the intelligence services continue to search for two others involved in the crime, the statement issued yesterday by the Army on the crime, which did not reflect their horror, went unnoticed. However, the details that Nidaa Al Watan learned from the victim’s father and relatives showed the horror of the crime. The father of the victim, Atef al-Husseini, asked public opinion to help him put pressure on the competent authorities, so that the perpetrators of the crime would not escape punishment. The crime was carried out in a premeditated manner and design, “the detainee confessed to throwing a gallon of gasoline at my daughter and setting him on fire,” says the grieving father.

According to the father, his daughter had left the house days before the crime. According to her relative, they informed the security forces of the matter and awaited her return. But the shock was that the father received a call the day before yesterday inviting her to identify the charred body of her daughter. Due to the great damage that the corpse suffered as a result of the fire that the murderer set directly on the body, the father could not identify the body of his daughter. He and his family awaited the results of the DNA test to confirm that their daughter was the victim of a heinous crime. Due to the subsequent damage to the body as a result of its burning, the forensic doctor was unable to determine whether the girl had been the target of an assault prior to her murder. Perhaps this is the reason that prompted the offender to burn the child, since it is likely that she had been sexually assaulted before he was burned, thinking that she was thus surviving with her act. Despite his great tragedy, the father hopes that investigations will reveal that his daughter was murdered before she was cremated, so perhaps she suffered less pain from the burning pain before her death.

Photographs taken at the crime scene show the charred corpse in the corner of an empty luggage room near a window, from which it can escape. The parents probably handcuffed the child at the time of the burning. Due to the poor condition of the corpse, his relatives could not wash it according to Islamic law, so they resorted to performing tayammum and rushed to bury it before the appointed time.

At a time when the Judiciary is lenient in issuing sentences related to this type of crime, since the interventions impede the course of justice and reduce the punishment of the murderers, the father fears that the interventions by proxy and partisans prevent the arrest of other defendants of the crime and the rendering of accounts of all those involved. “What happened to my daughter is a crime that is evident in history, and there is no justice in this country. If public opinion does not press this issue, those affected will shirk their duties towards it, ”says the grieving father.
