The Military Court of Cassation held a session today, dedicated to interrogations, and began with the defendant Ghabsh, who explained that during his previous statements, either in the initial investigations or before the military investigating judge and during the trial, he was detained and he confessed under the influence of the security pressures to which he was subjected, and said: “Now I am free. I am free and I can speak freely and without restrictions ”.
He noted that “during her visit to Lieutenant Colonel Suzan Hajj at her home, she asked her what had happened to her and caused her to be transferred from her position as head of the Office for the Fight against Cybercrime, for which she told her that Ziad Itani, owner of the website “Ayoub News,” posted Like, caused her to be fired, but she didn’t ask him for anything.
Ghobash added: “Because of my belief that we all make mistakes in life, I contacted the State Security agents I work with as an informant and asked them about Ziad Itani. I then reported to Lieutenant Colonel Hajj on the matter.
Regarding the reasons for his relationship with Lieutenant Colonel Al-Hajj, Ghobash stated that “he worked under his command in the Office for Combating Information Crimes, then he left the office to return after a while and meet her at her home and ask him about the “screenshot” case because of the exclamation mark he put in director Charbel Khalil’s tweet, referring to Al-Hajj he sent him a “screenshot” after the meeting for the Ziad theater account Itani, and told him that Itani works with Major General Ashraf Rifi, and after his clarification that Ziad Itani, the journalist, is not the same person as Ziad Itani, the actor, he thought he was the same person.
Ghobash referred to her meeting with Suzan Al-Hajj inside the “She Paul” restaurant, and had the file that she prepared for Ziad Itani, and noted that “she (Suzan) saw some of her papers accidentally and quickly without reviewing them and He gave them back to her, and as he left the restaurant he indicated with a gesture if Ella agreed with their content and nodded. The following day, the report was delivered to the State Security Office, and on the basis of the which Ziad Itani was detained.
In the next session, the court is scheduled to complete the interrogation of Ghobsh, then the representative of the Public Ministry of Cassation and the defense agents will present their questions and then begin to question Lieutenant Colonel Al-Hajj.
