Those who know the “well and its cover”, but those who follow the policy, through the facts, without the need for a “conspiracy theory”, are always surprised to read or hear the interpretation of these and these Palestinians and others. Some of them asked: Do we have to lie to our eyes and change our understanding to accept the interpretation of a false “conspiracy theory”?
The one who practically decided to hold the meeting of general secretaries headed by Mahmoud Abbas, via videoconference in Ramallah and Beirut, was Mahmoud Abbas himself. If it weren’t for that, it wouldn’t have been convened in the first place, not in Beirut, not anywhere else. This meeting was a demand of the Secretaries General outside of Palestine for some years, and it has become more urgent in the last two years. Therefore, Ismail Haniyeh’s visit to Lebanon resulted in this decision, provided it was at the official headquarters of the “Palestine Liberation Organization” in Beirut.
It is true that Ismail Haniyeh’s visit to Beirut was one of several capitals, and it was desirable to visit. The occasion came with the holding of the Secretary-General’s meeting in Beirut. Where is the infernal conspiracy behind this visit and how can Mahmoud Abbas be included, even practically, in it?
Of course, the meeting between Ismail Haniyeh and his accompanying delegation, with Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, was Mr. Haniyeh’s top priority after completing the task of meeting with the general secretaries behind the visit, and among the objectives of the visit were several meetings with Lebanese officials and leaders from different countries. The tendencies, such as “Hamas” and before it the Palestinian Representation in Lebanon, were willing to establish balanced relations with all the Lebanese sects, if possible, except those that chose a negative stance towards the Palestinians.
The meeting between Haniyeh and Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah was warm and positive and lasted for several hours. In fact, it was the culmination of an established alliance relationship, not a foundation for the relationship. And if the personal relationship makes it more intimate, after a direct encounter, but it is built on top of a building. So where is the plot that brought Haniyeh’s visit to Lebanon? Fraternal and jihadist relations were established against the Zionist enemy. The personal encounter was not new. If it had not happened, nothing would have changed in essence, neither in the coalition policy, nor in the coordination and continuous strengthening of relations, which was announced by the two parties.
And if the meeting was said to present a challenge to America and the Zionist entity, then the challenge before it was present and declared and most intensely, from “Hamas” and Hezbollah, and the personal meeting did not increase it as a challenge. except for a challenge that has accumulated on top of challenges. So where is the plot and where is the problem?
However, the dimension that angered the Palestinian side, which was left on the sidelines, was Ismail Haniyeh’s visit to the Ain al-Hilweh camp, and the public reception he received was not expected due to the crowd, symbolism, shape , content and songs it received.
There are two surprises here. The first surprise is what the fans of the camp, especially its youth and women (60-70% of the population), expressed in the spirit of fighting and fighting as if we were in 1970 after the Battle of Dignity, and the start of the second wave of the Palestinian revolution. This fact is really amazing, really cool and significant in some way. After the eighties, and especially after the “Oslo Agreement”, and by factors of erosion, defamation, corruption, despair and social and political injustice in Lebanon, and by the conflicts, divisions and deviations to which the Palestinian camps, especially Ein El-Hilweh, the situation of young people was rumored to be in terrible ruin: whoever asks For immigration, the spread of drugs and the alienation of factions to the penetration of extremist tendencies, to which there are descriptions, which make you say: “There is no strength or strength but with God” as if facing death or disaster.
All of this received a violent shake and a severe blow to the conscience, and required a reconsideration of the multifaceted reality and many suspicions, as it restored the confidence in the authenticity of the people, and thus the revolutionary fountain that flows with the youth, generation after generation. Each generation that comes after two or more or less setbacks brings new blood, and awareness of the foundations of the Palestinian cause is renewed. It is true that several generations may not be able to pave a path that was corrupted by them, and the situation weakened, dissipated and frustrated. It is a stage of regression that can sometimes be prolonged. But it is inevitable that the fog will begin to dissipate, or the ruin will reach its extent, and its components and powers must be exhausted. New balances of power arise, a new generation, as the revolution renews itself, and with a spirit of resistance and defiance, repeats its first course, in essence no form, and if the forms are similar, then we think that history will be repeated. History does not repeat itself, because each historical period has its own characteristics. The era of “Fatah” and the Palestinian resistance in 1970, changed “Hamas” and the “jihad” and the resistance in 2020, even if the Ain al-Hilweh camp received Ismail Haniyeh as if he was repeating what had been lost . It should be noted that all factions of the resistance have a stake.
The second surprise: what was expressed by the fans of the camp (Ain al-Hilweh) says: We have returned with a new look, with a different consciousness and an equation of new balances of power in Lebanon, as well as at the Palestinian, Arab levels , Islamic and international. What we saw in Ain al-Hilweh during Ismail Haniyeh’s visit confirms that the principles of the Palestinian cause and the jihadist struggle and spirit of struggle are what renew the revolution, and it is the one that takes the situation out of the hole, and is the one who rises to the position of leadership.
There are those who think that this change was brought about by the neglect of “Fatah” and some factions of the “Palestine Liberation Organization” of the camps, while what changes negatively or positively, upwards or downwards, is not neglect. not the concern, but the principle, the political line and the strategy of confrontation with the enemy (the field practice). This is what should be understood from the second surprise. As for those who caused the ruckus, they should reconsider their accounts. The visit was unplanned, neither in terms of form nor content, and it was for Palestinian, not Lebanese purposes, and the people of the Ain El-Helweh camp got both surprises.
As for Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s meeting with Ismail Haniyeh, it was for Palestinian strategic purposes to confront the Zionist enemy, not to involve the Palestinians in the internal Lebanese-Lebanese conflict.
