The president in charge of forming the Lebanese government, Mustafa Adib, met with President Michel Aoun at the Presidential Palace in Baabda.

A reporter reported Fields Adeeb “did not bring with him any government formation today.”

The president in charge of forming the government said when leaving the presidential palace that “he came today for more consultations.”

Sources were reported FieldsHours ago, Adib’s contact with former Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil was positive, and he thanked his facilitating position for the songwriting process.

Bassil said yesterday Sunday that the French initiative is the only available solution to the crisis in Lebanon, and indicated that there is a failure in the investigation into the explosion of the Beirut port and in the reconstruction of what was destroyed, stressing that they have no desire to participate in the next government.

The president-designate has not yet developed a comprehensive vision of his government. Nor did he reveal his orientations on the formula of government.

Adeeb had stated on September 9 that the formation of the Lebanese government was still in the consultation stage. He also pointed out the high level of political and field tension, and the pitfalls it can represent in the face of the rapid announcement of the composition of the government.

French President Emmanuel Macron, who visited Lebanon in early September from the Pine Palace in Beirut, said the important thing is to implement the roadmap agreed upon by most Lebanese political parties, warning of the consequences if the Lebanese authorities fail to fulfilled their promises by the end of October.

Notably, the Lebanese president had appointed the Lebanese ambassador to Germany, Mustafa Adib, to form a government on August 31.
