A statement issued by the municipality of Blida:
On Friday at noon 05/2020, and at exactly forty-one minutes, a UNIFIL patrol of the FCR force consisting of three enclaves of the Finnish team entered at insane speed into the inner city of Blida and without coordination and without accompanying the Lebanese army and heading for a narrow path agreed in advance “with UNIFIL, the army and the municipality by not entering mechanisms into it.
The patrol was surprised when entering a van for one of the people from the town, and did not stop and continued accelerating, so it surprised one of the people from the town with his hand and leg, which required his transfer to the hospital, where he received the necessary first aid and radiological images and found the presence of a trauma to his foot that required the installation of the cast (Jabbar). She was wounded along the way and then headed for the Nepalese battalion at Marj Al-Abed, between the city of Blida and Aitaroun, after several villagers arrested her for the damage they had caused behind them.
Note: After the incident, residents of the hostile city who had been reported by the patrol reported and gathered in front of the municipal building, and the affected people offered their mechanisms. In turn, the municipality was organized in coordination with the intelligence of the army and the authorities concerned.
The municipality of Blida denounces what happened and demands an investigation to discover the truth of what happened and hold the perpetrators accountable and compensate those affected, with the municipality’s constant concern for the best and safest relations between the UNIFIL forces and the people from the town.
