After the United States Department of the Treasury issued a decision against a member of the Politburo of the Amal Movement and the political aide to the Speaker of Parliament, Deputy and former Minister Ali Hassan Khalil, the Amal Movement held an emergency meeting of the Presidency, which issued the following statement:
First: this decision will not change our convictions and our national and national constants at all.

Fourth: The objective of the deputy brother Ali Hassan Khalil is not against a person who held a ministerial position for a specific period of time, but rather against Lebanon, its sovereignty, the line and the political organization to which it belongs, the line of the Amal Movement, the defense line of Lebanon and its unity, the final homeland of all its people and its Arab identity. And about our right to defend our principles, our rights and our borders.
