Mortada consequently requested that “the support mechanism for basic products related to agricultural and animal production be committed and strictly applied in order to preserve the rights of citizens and achieve the public interest and avoid the waste of public money, according to the Decision of the Council of Ministers and the Resolution of the Minister of Economy and Trade No. 87/1 / AT related to the organization of the process to support the consumer basket “. Agricultural and industrial raw materials expanded, in cooperation with the Banque du Liban (published in the Official Gazette, No. 31 dated 7/23/2020, p. 1542 and following).
It says in the books:
“When His Excellency the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mr. Raoul Nehme, in his book addressed to His Excellency the Governor of the Banque du Liban, only he expressed his disapproval of supporting any product related to animal and agricultural production, since would constitute a waste of public money, as mentioned in his book (Book of the Minister of Economy and Commerce Archives No. 12522/2020 Date 4/9/2020), and since the cessation of this support for basic products is the issue from the book of His Excellency the Minister of Economy and Commerce, which aims to deprive a large category of the support provided by the state to farmers, breeders of poultry and livestock, and citizens.
Considering that the Ministry of Economy and Commerce refused and neglected to comply with its price control duties and the execution of its decision No. 87/1 / AT, specifically paragraph 4 of article 4 of this decision, which literally reads the following: “The name of the importer, the type and quantity of the goods, the price to the consumer or farmer or industrialist on the official website of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Economy and Trade”.
Therefore, we request the Ministry of Economy and Trade to fully adhere to the support mechanism for commodities related to agricultural and livestock production and strictly control the prices of these commodities to protect public funds instead of requesting the cessation of subsidies and the application of Resolution No. 87/1 / AT, related to the organization of the support process for the expanded consumer basket and its agricultural and industrial raw materials. In cooperation with the Banque du Liban (published in the Official Gazette No. 31 of 7/23/2020 p. 1542 and following), especially the fourth paragraph of the editorial authority within 24 hours of its date, in order to preserve the public interest and the rights of citizens and avoid the waste of public money.
