Courthouse Commissioner listens to Attorney Akl … and Union vote on permit to persecute him

This request arises in the context of writings on social networks and a series of interviews in the media conducted by lawyer Akl, which included a campaign against the Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation, Judge Ghassan Oweidat, degrading the judicial authority, deceiving and disclosing secret investigations into the crime of the port explosion, based on a report submitted by two citizens: Shadi Diab and Muhammad Bayasa declared that Aql serves a specific political line and endangers civil peace.

It should be noted that the lawyer Gaspard, once the hearing session with Akl is over, will forward the file to the Bar Association for a vote, which will have two options: to grant the prosecution permission to consider that Aql’s words were received outside of the context of the practice of the legal profession, or refuse to give permission in case of confirmation. Noting that, before joining the Bar Association, Akl declared that he was the legal representative of several of those affected by the port explosion.
