Adib reveals the form of government he seeks to form

President-designate Mustafa Adib announced his aspiration to form a government of specialists that would quickly and professionally handle the issues at hand and win the trust of the Lebanese, Arab and international community.

Adeeb said after the end of the non-binding parliamentary consultations he held in Ain al-Tineh: “I heard opinions and ideas that I can say give us a great boost to speed up the composition,” noting that the commonalities among the Lebanese they are much more than the differences.

He noted that the main topics that dominated the conversation are civil peace, reforms and the port issue. He added: “After consultations, it became clear that there are more common denominators than disagreements, and any point of disagreement can be resolved through dialogue.”

And he stressed that “what is needed is a government of specialists that quickly and professionally handles the files in question and gains the trust of the Lebanese, Arab and international community.”

He hoped to cooperate with the House of Representatives to pass the necessary laws.

In response to a question, he expressed his optimism, saying, “Be optimistic about the good you will find.”
