“Kill Them” … Frightening Orders in North Korea to Prevent Corona Spread

North Korean authorities have ordered soldiers and police to shoot anyone who comes within 800 meters of the country’s border with China, with the aim of stopping the spread of the new Corona virus.

Radio Free Asia said Pyongyang’s new instructions went into effect at midnight last Thursday.

And the Hueryung city police, which is located north of North Korea on the border with China, announced that they will “kill anyone who is this distance from the border, regardless of the reason for their presence there.”

According to “Free Asia”, this policy is applied along the borders of about 1,400 kilometers “until the end of the epidemic”, in an attempt to prevent the transmission of “Covid 19” by contacting people in China.

These instructions come despite the severe decline in the number of Corona patients registered in China in recent months, despite being the birthplace of the deadly virus.

The North Korean government sent ammunition to police to help implement the new policy, sending a message to assure its forces that if they shoot anyone approaching the border, they will not be responsible for killing them.

The borders between North Korea and China remained porous despite attempts to tighten them, as North Korea’s economy relies on goods being smuggled to and from China.

For months, North Korea claimed no corona cases were detected in the country, but declared a state of emergency weeks ago with the first case recorded on its soil.

“The enemy is trying to send the virus across the border,” referring to China, official media said, with officials emphasizing the need to raise awareness and establish a system to report any unusual activity near the dividing line between the two countries.
