According to a statement issued by the party, this step stems from the party seeing that collapse has become inevitable in Lebanon due to the existing approach to governance, noting that it places the role in the custody of the new government, as well as in custody. of all political forces, parliamentary blocs, parties and civil society.
Among the highlights of the reform document presented by Jumblatt is the formation of an independent government whose program is based on two main points: reforms and early parliamentary elections according to a new non-sectarian law, and the formation of a Senate that preserve minority rights.
The work also stipulated the need to curb waste and rationalize public spending to stop financing the deficit, carry out a fundamental reform of the electricity sector, close illegal crossings, prevent smuggling, customs evasion and control tax evasion.
Macron continues his bilateral meetings with the heads of the parties after their meeting around a round table, since his press conference at the Pine Palace was postponed.
