Arslan delivered a speech on the occasion, in which he said: “The wounded man is wounded and the martyr is our martyr, just as he is the martyr of the Arabs. He stressed that “the Lebanese national blood is one blood, and not different blood between the parties, be it sectarian, racial or sectarian.”

He noted: “Since dawn, we have been in contact with the family of the deceased before learning of his martyrdom, and we have kept in contact with all parties, so that the State can save its credibility because it is at stake.”

He said: “We demand that the state fully exercise its role, and that the competent judiciary act immediately to find out the truth of what happened, whether there was an instigator or a murderer.
