Kim Jong Un disappears again after his bodyguard and intelligence chief were fired

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un fired his bodyguard and intelligence chief, amid ambiguities about his health and not being seen again in public since May 1, Sputnik quoted South Korean newspapers.

According to the “Korea Herald” newspaper, North Korea expelled Jang Kelsong from his position as head of the “RGB” Intelligence Office that was established in 2009, and focuses his secret military operations in Japan, South Korea and the United States, and the newspaper said the intelligence office is responsible for carrying out the missions. Espionage and attacks, as South Korea accuses him of detonating a naval ship in 2010.

According to Yonhap, Jang was replaced by General Rim Kwang II.

The Korea Herald added that Kim Jong-un has fired his bodyguard, Yoon Jong-rin, who has been protecting him since 2010, from his position as commander-in-chief.

Newspapers have pointed out that Kim Jong Un has been hidden from view since his debut on May 1, as well as rumors about his health.

The South Korean National Intelligence Agency previously announced that although the North Korean leader had appeared on few public occasions, he had not undergone any surgery or medical treatment.

North Korean leader Kim had been missing from the official media for weeks, sparking a wave of speculation about his health and whereabouts.
