Under the generous Egyptian patronage and the blessing of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and in the continuation of Egyptian efforts to end the division, the Palestinian factions held a meeting on 17-19 / 3/2012 in El Cairo with the participation of the Presidency of the National Council of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Central Election Committee.

1- The meeting discussed with high responsibility all the national issues and risks facing the Palestinian issue, the holding of legislative, presidential and National Council elections based on the presidential decree issued on January 15, 2020, and ways to strengthen the national alliance, and agreed ways to address them in a way that strengthens the Palestinian national democratic path and refer them to the competent authorities.

6- The participants also highlighted the culmination of the formation of the unified leadership of the integral popular resistance and its activation, according to the statement from the last meeting of the general secretaries.

7 – The factions participating in the Palestinian elections also signed a code of honor, in which they affirmed their desire to conduct the electoral process in all its stages with transparency and integrity, and to be dominated by honest competition between competing lists so that it serves and strengthens national unity and the public interest and safeguards the right of the citizen to choose who they represent, respecting the law and electoral regulations. And the instructions issued in accordance with it to organize the conduct of the electoral process.

8- The participants in the meetings paid tribute, gratitude and pride to the martyrs of the Palestinian people, the prisoners and the brave prisoners, highlighting their desire to promote national unity and spread feelings of hope among the Palestinian people at home and in the diaspora.
