Al-Houthi said in a tweet on his Twitter account: “Since the Saudi regime does not take a step without the permission of the US administration, it is not excluded that the Trump administration was involved in the assassination of Khashoggi.”

Al-Houthi added: “The American investigation is supposed to be more transparent in this case and in the crimes that have been committed against the people of the Republic of Yemen, and the Americans have recognized their intelligence and other support.”

On Friday, the administration of US President Joe Biden issued a declassified copy of the CIA report on the 2018 murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The report said Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman approved and likely ordered the murder of dissident Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018.

The report stated that bin Salman viewed Khashoggi as a threat to the kingdom and strongly supported the violence.

The CIA report confirmed that the US assessment was based on the crown prince’s control over decision-making, the direct involvement of a key adviser, and his support for violence to silence dissidents.

The declassified document listed 21 people that the CIA had high confidence in were involved in or responsible for the murder of Khashoggi on behalf of bin Salman.
