Former United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo
Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Washington had established an “important” alliance with some Gulf countries and Israel to pressure Iran, and stressed the need for his country to continue the alliance as part of it.
In an interview with the US channel “News Max”, Pompeo said: “We have established an important coalition of some Gulf countries and Israel to pressure Iran … The United States must continue to be part of this alliance.”
He continued: “A weak America will only encourage Iran and harm the American people.”
“We understood that the greatest threat to the American people is Iranian terrorism,” added the Foreign Minister in the administration of former President Donald Trump, emphasizing that “our greatest friend and ally in the region was the people of Israel.”
