The main challenge is dealing with the mutated Kent strain, Eustis said, emphasizing that the vaccines work on the mutated Kent strain. He also added that the South African strain is less contagious than the Kent strain.

It is reported that on February 4, the British minister in charge of distributing vaccines in the UK, Nazem Al-Zahawi, revealed that there are currently around 4,000 mutated strains of the virus that causes Covid-19 disease around the world.
