On Monday, the Public Relations Division of the General Directorate of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces issued the following communication:
Closure of 4 warehouses containing monopolized large quantities of subsidized items in Lebanon
In the suburban company, in the regional gendarmerie unit, information was available on the existence of 4 warehouses in the Haret Hreik, Choueifat / Deir Qoubel Junction and Aramoun areas, which contain large quantities of various monopolized subsidized items such as milk for babies, food products.
Immediately, a force of the aforementioned secret police, with the support of a force from the Office for the Fight against Financial Crimes and Money Laundering of the Judicial Police Unit and the factions involved, on 02/08/2021, raided these warehouses and sealed them with red wax based on the signal of the Judicial Power, in the locality:
Haret Hreik, where a quantity of expired property was seized.
– Choueifat / Deir Qoubel Junction, and large quantities of monopolized materials were seized.
– Aramoun, inside the first warehouse, found a large quantity of spoiled rice and within the second a quantity of monopolized food.
In this context, the operational units of the Internal Security Forces, previously, raided several warehouses in the areas of the Kuwaiti embassy, Al-Rehab, Al-Ouzai and Bir Hassan. From the subsidized price, the warehouses were sealed with red wax, based on the reference of the competent Judicial Power that supervises the investigations. “
