Iran tops list of countries most affected by Corona in the Middle East

Iran ranked first in the list of countries most affected by the emerging Corona virus pandemic in the region in terms of number of deaths, with 58 thousand and 469 registered deaths, one million and 466 thousand and 435 people infected, registering 3, 99 percent of deaths among patients with the virus, according to a diagram by the agency France Press.

Iraq came in second, with a total number of injuries reaching 627,416 and 13,111 deaths among Iraqis, recording 2.09 percent of deaths among Covid-19 patients.

The agency reported that the total number of deaths in the Middle East and North Africa reached 129,176, and 5,992,000 and 454 injuries were recorded, with 2.16 percent of overall deaths among covid patients.

It should be noted that some countries recorded a very high mortality rate compared to the number of infections, as 5.68% of those infected with the virus died in Egypt, 3.75% died in Syria and Yemen recorded 28 , 9% of deaths among the infected.

Qatar was among the countries least affected by the virus in the region, with 250 deaths and 153,690 infections, with 0.16% of deaths among all infections.
