Lebanese model Zeina Kanjo was strangled by her husband Ibrahim Ghazal at their Ain Mreisseh home in the capital, Beirut, on Saturday night.
Zina’s father, Mohamed Kanjo, told the Lebanese newspaper “Al-Nahar” that her husband was beating his daughter, confirming that he had brought a case of domestic violence to the Beirut Judicial Detachment.
He added: “She did not separate from him, and before committing his crime, I spoke to him and he was by her side, and it was 12:15 in the afternoon, after which I received a call from the police station for which I I learned about the disaster and that Ibrahim fled the scene after the emotion was taken from my heart. Al-Sabah received his body.
He continued: “The coroner mentioned that my daughter was strangled by her husband, and he is from Tripoli, a resident of Beirut, a few years older than her, after they were involved for months in which he appeared to be a criminal, and when she informed us of her abuse and attacked with a complaint against her, she responded by committing her crime. “
Zeina’s father called on the Lebanese security forces to take the case “seriously and work to stop him, so that he can be punished, and insisted that he be hanged, because this monster does not deserve life.”
Meanwhile, Zeina’s sister revealed to local media that her sister’s husband, Ibrahim, had stolen the victim’s car, money and gold.
