On Saturday, the Turkish authorities announced the arrest of 4 people and the search for two others accused of insulting the Holy Kaaba using homosexual drawings and symbols on a university campus in Istanbul.
And the state of Istanbul announced in a statement that it had seized a painting hanging on the south campus of “Bogazegi University”, with the Kaaba on top and on top of it the symbol of a mythical creature called “Shahmaran.”
The image, according to the state statement, also includes the banner for “LGBTQ people,” a term that refers to gay, bisexual and transgender people.
On Saturday, Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu announced the arrest of four people involved in the abuse of the Holy Kaaba in front of Bogazici University.
“4 homosexual offenders who insulted the Holy Kaaba were arrested at Bogazici University,” Soylu wrote on Twitter.

These students, whom the minister described as deviants, kicked a picture of the Kaaba during a protest against the appointment of a new university dean for the “Justice and Development Party.”
The State said that security teams detained 4 people, while the procedures to detain two others continue, on charges of “publicly insulting the religious values adopted by a segment of the people.”
He indicated that the arrest decision was issued by the Istanbul Public Ministry and included the inspection of the building of the “Bogaz Egy” University Fine Arts Club.
The state voiced its strong condemnation of this heinous attack on the Kaaba.
